Job Summary:

As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our school, ensuring it reflects the high standards we uphold for our children, families, and staff. Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Prep(meals, clean-up)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the school facility, including classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, and common areas(including breakroom/conference room, and playgrounds)
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Take out trash and recycling in a timely and efficient manner
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need to be reordered
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by state licensing and school policy
- Respond promptly to spills, messes, or other urgent cleaning needs during operating hours
- Support school staff with light maintenance duties as needed (e.g., assembling furniture, changing light bulbs)
- Communicate any facility or maintenance concerns to management
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
